COOLER THAN SMOKING!

ENEI...

Egorchenkov Alexey, from St. Petersburg (Russian Federation), A.K.A Enei, is predominantly a drum and bass tyrant who started producing in mid 2003. Then came 2007, which was a very good year for people like me and you - this was the year the vodka loving bass man began producing dubstep, resulting in the second ever vinyl dubstep release in Russia. Yes sir. As a consequence came the release, on Subway Records, of Giant with the huuuuge "Badness" on the A side, and Enei with the ravey bass that is "Crispy Rolls" on the B side! Support these good men, the proper way, and buy a good old fashioned record...
Crispy Rolls is one of my favourite tracks to drop when playing out, and I've really got a lot of time for this Enei fellow, so, personally, I reckon you should have a sample...

DUTTYYY...

Basically, I love Bar 9, you love Bar 9, we all love Bar 9, and as a homage to the bass heavy critter I put together a rather compact, strictly Bar 9 mix, with a cheeky Dizzee Rascal (Hold Ya Mouf) mash up to open. Check it!

BASS ON THE BEACH

Basically, there's a lovely little festival that goes by the name of Beach Break Live, held in Cornwall (on the beach, surprisingly) open only to students, playing host to some big names in music just as Summer exams end. Perfect.
Past acts that have played the festival include: Dizzee Rascal, Mr. Scruff, Plump DJs, Scratch Perverts, Caspa, Rusko, Skream, Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Trojan Soundsystem, Dynamite MC, Mystery Jets, Friendly Fires, Chase and Status, Plan B, DJ Yoda, Krafty Kuts, The Count and Sinden, Jack Beats, Foreign Beggars, and a silly amount more! So, it looks like a tasty precedent has been set for some good acts to be picked for 2010.
I'll visit back later when I have more information to give you about this sandy box social, but for now, enjoy this quirky Parker refix of Caspa's classic Where's My Money:
